Renard Poché Band

The Renard Poché Band is a highly original New Orleans based group whose music is a unique blend of classic and modern funk/soul with occasional infusions of jazz, rock, latin, and positive rap. Variety and versatility are the hallmarks of this band and soulfulness is the common thread. The band engages its audiences with a visually exciting presentation featuring three lead vocalists plus a showcase of hot instrumental solos, brass and percussion ensembles, tight vocal harmonies and stellar arrangements.

Leslie Smith is a dynamic singer and performer who has captivated audiences at local, national and international jazz festivals and in settings as diverse as the streets of San Francisco and Lincoln Center. In 2002 Mayor Marc Morial named her Cultural Ambassador of New Orleans Music. In addition to three original CD's, Leslie co-wrote songs on CDs by George Porter, Jr., Wardel Quezerque, Luther Kent and Theryl DeClouet. “Leslie Smith is one of Louisiana’s greatest treasures” -- Allen Touissaint       

Keiko Komaki is originally from Kagoshima, Japan.

She moved to New Orleans in 2006 and became the keyboardist for the late Gospel/R&B singer Marva Wright. She has also played with the Wild Magnolias, Russell Batiste, The Johnny Vidacovich  Trio, Benny Turner & Real Blues, Vasti Jackson and many others. Her playing style is powerful, funky and aggressive. You can hear the soul of Asia in her every musical utterance.

Perrin “Greezy” Green is a singer, songwriter and producer. His rich tenor voice and unique soulful style has allowed him the opportunity to work with platinum producer Kim Fowley and Grammy award winning producer Darius “Deezle” Harrison. Green has opened concerts for Maze, Teena Marie and the Neville Brothers to name a few. He is  the lead male singer with the Renard Poché Band and is featured on several tracks on Poché’s 4u/4me CD. You can also hear Green on his debut solo R&B LP "Do It Again"


Scott Jackson is a solid, funky in the pocket bassist who grew up in a musical household in the mid west. He stumbled onto New Orleans music  while in college and moved to New Orleans soon after. Over the years Scott has played with B.J. Rogers and the Recording Kings, Groove Soup, John Lisi and Delta Funk, Brian Stoltz, Brint Anderson, Tab Benoit, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, The 101 Runner Mardi Gras Indians, Smoky Greenwell and the Blue Gnus.

Garland Paul is a Native New Orleanean that began playing drums in church and in Louisiana’s famous Saint Augustine Marching 100 high school band. An exciting drummer and vocalist at home in a variety of genres, he’s performed with New Orleans icon, Walter ”Wolfman” Washington, Kirk Joseph’s Backyard Groove, Irie Vibrations, T-Roy and the Vibes, John Carey, The Honey Island Swamp Band and many others. He also had the honor of performing at The House of Blues in New Orleans with the late great Bo Diddley.
